I want to get hold of treated lumber 125x125. It seems none of the big chains have this.
I'm now wondering if anyone has experience with special ordering treated lumber and if it is a viable option.
I assume you turn directly to the sawmill?

It is not clear from your profile where you live. Please update this.

A wholesaler hjortens.se in Landskrona has some unusual dimensions. Check with them.

XL-bygg here took home 125x125 without problem.

My local XL bygg had a 120x120 planed, pressure-treated post when I needed it. Apparently custom ordered.

They call themselves a "Pro shop," probably to be able to charge completely unbelievable prices from those who aren't on their guard.
I bought a package of Nilfisk vacuum cleaner bags there for about 260, -Exactly the same as Jula sells for 99...

But they had the post I needed.

When I was at XL-bygg here in the village, they had posts size 120x120 on the shelf... not many, but they will probably order more if you ask.

Do you have to have 125x125?

Another dimension with this "pressure-treated wood". There are different classes of pressure-treated wood depending on the application.
It is not clear which class the original poster is looking for.
Depending on the class, it might be a complicating factor for the original poster to find the right one.

Yes, I was a bit careless in my eagerness.
I live in the Stockholm area (Täby).
It is in fact 120x120 that I'm after.

It is meant for a fence.
I built the fence in 2008. The first layer of paint must have been completely wrong, as the posts I put up then have rotted through. (see image) Rotted wooden fence post with visible decay, surrounded by grass and moss, indicating possible damage from incorrect paint application.
Now I'm thinking of switching to pressure-treated wood (unsure of which class I need).

Yes, NTR B is probably sufficient for your part, but the post you have in the picture is way too close to the ground.
Make sure to have a solid air gap between the ground and the post when you mount new ones.
Treat the end grain when you've cut the posts.

It's best to have a substantial air gap between the ground and the post when you mount new ones.
Impregnate the end grain after you've cut the posts.
125x125 posts are only impregnated in class NTR A. And that's also what it should be for ground contact. All serious building supply stores will order the posts for you.

... my comment about XL proffsbutik concerns the Täby store.
