Hello!

I'm going to add insulation to a gable soon and would gladly welcome some feedback on my drawing before the project.

The house is a summer house with a frame built of 100*50 studs from 1969, so it gets a bit cold in the winter.

Now I am placing a new wall outside the existing one with a frame of 145*45. (The old cladding is being removed).

Below you can see the posts as they are today and how I have planned to place the new ones.

So if you have any comments, I would gratefully accept them.

Best regards,
Fredrik

The smartest thing when adding insulation is to set the new studs crosswise against the old ones, to minimize thermal bridges.

But from your sketch, I don't quite understand what you have in mind.
Is it just intended to place the studs closer together? If so, why?

Hello!
Thanks for the response!
The old studs are placed according to the old standard. (I'm not quite sure where the noggings are on the old one yet)
I was planning to set the new ones at cc60.
Just the ones by the windows should be in the same place.
Best regards,
Fredrik
