I took to cleaning our stairs today with the pressure washer. Lots of black grime was just washed away. I've scrubbed it a few times over the years we've lived here, but it hasn't gotten particularly clean from that. Suddenly we have a light-colored stair, and unfortunately, you can see how worn it is as well. The darker part next to the house is paint that remains from when it was once painted, maybe when the house was built in 1953?

What can be done about this? Who do you hire to fix a stair? And what might it cost? (yes, I know, how long is a piece of string, but anyhow :D)

From almost black to this:
Concrete steps after power washing, showing lighter color and wear. Dark paint remains near the house, evidence of previous painting. Worn concrete staircase with visible wear and weathering, showing spots where old paint remains, recently cleaned with a pressure washer.
