I've reached the stage in my renovation where it's time for ceilings and walls. The inside is plastered on clay bricks or similar. Is it okay to just glue drywall onto the walls to get straight, even walls? Or is there a risk of mold if moisture gets into the walls? What should I do otherwise? I've tried plastering a bit, but it doesn't turn out well. Otherwise, what's the minimum buildup time for straight walls?

My walls are siporex. I chose gypsum plaster. Reasoned that I didn't want organic material on the walls since it has never been there before and the walls have been fine. I put up strips of masonite as guides and used gypsum plaster. It's like skim coating the walls but a bit harder to sand than regular filler, so be careful with the finish before it dries.
However, I recommend outsourcing the ceilings because it was a damn tough job that I couldn't handle :/ I found a guy on veteranpolen who took on the job and barely charged for it
