OBS sheets outdoors?

I have a garage where the walls next to the outside of the door are covered with chipboard that is painted, but this has broken into pieces and the paint has peeled off. I don't understand why they put chipboard outside either, but it's probably built in the 80s.
I was thinking of replacing these boards and painting them, can I use OBS boards or masonite? Or what do you use outdoors...?

You probably mean OSB.
However, I think it sounds risky to use OSB outdoors, even if you paint it?
Isn't some form of panel an alternative?

Is it the entire wall, i.e., the facade?

yes was osb I mean

it's the wall under the roof around the gate, the facade itself is made of planks. It would probably be best to put planks, but it's so much more work. Thought to solve it quickly and cheaply....

I would say that OSB is never a material for outdoor use. Prolonged high humidity is enough for it to swell up and become shapeless.

Whether it's jambs or any other construction, choose another material. There are several types of plywood that work well outdoors, such as form plywood. If it's not in a directly exposed position, regular construction plywood should also work if painted.
