Hey! I'm renovating a bedroom in an old log cabin from the 1880s. Since the subfloor faces a crawl space, it has been humid at times, so I'm planning to replace it as we're redoing the entire room anyway.
The crawl space, which is a partially finished basement (about 3 m in ceiling height), now has a dehumidifier and plastic on the ground.
The room is made of logs, as you can see in the photos.
I'm planning to place a horizontal beam under the floor joists, where I'll then lay down an oil-treated board (3mm). After that, I'll insert 220 particle boards, but now I'm a bit unsure. Should I install a vapor barrier, or just proceed with the floorboards directly afterwards?

Thinking about placing battens under the floor joists that can support the board and then nailing it to the lying battens!
