I'm going to install sleek stair railings in brushed steel. They need to attach to a wooden beam, so they should be wood screws with an attractive "head" - I want them as flat as possible and in brushed steel AND NICE

Brushed steel, no quite shiny.
Flat head, at least they have that.

Hello! Go to a well-stocked hardware store, there are many that have a "bolt bar," a shelf with all sorts of screws, in bulk. A nice surface is usually found on stainless steel screws, which can sometimes look slightly brushed and even matte.
