I am going to build an interior wall (or actually two in the corner of a room to create a small storage room. This will be done in a basement, and since it's a basement, I thought I would use steel studs. I've never used steel studs before, so I wanted to check in with you about some questions before I head to the hardware store...

1) The storage room will be approximately 90*90 cm. Do I need to use double plasterboard, or will single plasterboard provide enough stability despite the steel studs?

2) Do you use a special stud in the corner between the two walls?

3) What dimension of studs would be suitable to use, as there are so many to choose from?

4) Can I then use regular corner profiles over the plasterboard before spackling, or is it the same as with wood?

5) Do you only use self-drilling metal screws, or is the metal in the profiles thin enough to go through with regular wood/plasterboard screws?

Thanks a lot for the help!!!

1 It depends on what you mean by "sufficient stability." It will be a "normal" wall of single drywall, and it won't bend or sway by itself. If you're going to hang up the vv-beredaren, then it's not sufficient.

3 70mm is probably normal.

5 There are drywall screws intended for metal studs.
