What can cause plaster that has cured for five days to become weak and crumble between the fingers?
(Some areas have weaker plaster, other areas seem to have plaster that has cured normally.)
I used Finja plaster C and applied it to Lecablock, which had been pre-watered, outdoors.
Had watered the plaster occasionally afterwards.
After one day, rain came, and I had protected the plaster from the rain, but some rain got past the protection.
After 66 hours (2.75 days), it got cold during the night. I don't think the temperature dropped below +2 degrees.
There was, as mentioned, protection on top, and the protection consisted of plastic garbage bags.
Didn't notice any frost in the grass in the morning.
Why should plaster and mortar be protected from rain? You're supposed to water it afterward.
I guess it's about protecting against heavy rain.
It's also unclear how much and how often you should water it... 🤔
