Hello! I plastered a short wall in the basement with plaster mortar B several weeks ago. And what you see in the video is occurring in several places. If I continue to drag my finger, I dig a hole.

Should a plastered wall really be this soft? I'm disheartened because I wanted a smooth and nice wall...

Can I skim coat the wall to fix the unevenness? The wall is in the basement

How did you go about plastering?

Used a plaster spray to apply the plaster, which I then pulled off against the screed bars. It was relatively thick, so I plastered in 3 rounds. And used a sword to even out the surface.

How was the watering before and after? To my knowledge, plaster should be scrubbed after leveling with a float to work it together...

Watered several times before and a few days after with a couple of hours in between, but scrubbing brings out such a rough surface. But do you think it couldn't hold together because of that? But then it should still be harder deeper in the wall. But it isn't, is it?

Is there something I can apply now afterwards to bind the material together and is there something I can use to smooth the surface afterwards without worrying about problems if the basement is a bit damp?
