Planning to build an archway between the hallway and living room. The problem is that the "opening" currently goes all the way to the ceiling, so I need to build a portion of the wall to mount the arch (arched). The existing walls are made of concrete and painted in both the living room and hallway, but it's probably better not to tamper with concrete, and it shouldn't be necessary since you can achieve the same wall color over the arch with a bit of paint.
I have never built a wall before, so I'm wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how to build this?

Measure the thickness of your wall, subtract 26mm for the drywall. The measurement you get is what you need for the studs you will use to build the wall. Place one of these studs in each corner of the opening and drill holes through them into the wall. Insert plugs and then screw them in place. Below these, attach a new stud horizontally by nailing it into the end grain of the studs. Then add more studs in the rest of the opening so that there is no more than a maximum of 60 cm c/c between the studs. Also, place pieces at the top between the studs to be able to screw the drywall at the edge. Then you can continue with your arch and finish by drywalling everything. Don't forget to patch and reinforce the seam between the concrete and the drywall; otherwise, it will crack.
