Hello,

I'm about to attach tongue and groove to the ceiling. It will be attached to a grid of 70*30 cc60. Above the grid is plastic and above that, joists cc60 across the grid. What nails/screws should I use so that it doesn't pierce the plastic? Would short ones at 45 mm work? They seem as thin as wire, such nails. I don't trust them to hold up my ceiling.

What is preferred, nails/screws in the tongue or visible?

Are there screws that are suitable to be visible?

I have two panel options: 22mm*145, or 22*95. Or to alternate 95mm wide and 170mm wide.

Which is nicest? Most practical?

Thank you in advance.
