Hi. I could use some advice. I'm having some issues with the parquet that creaks when stepped on, right by the patio door. There was a small trim that I removed and bought a new one. The problem was that the trim was just nailed into the threshold without the parquet being adjusted first. What I planned to do was press down the parquet with its weight and then nail the trim. But here's the catch, I can't nail the trim—every nail breaks. When I look at the threshold, it seems to be made of plastic, at least it feels that way, but every nail breaks, and I'm wondering if there are nails for plastic or if you can give me some tips to fix this? I don't know what to do. What I thought I could fix in 30 minutes now feels impossible for me to fix. I'm stuck. Grateful for any answers and tips.
It might work to pre-drill and use listskruv.
The nails bend and thomas33 it's not the molding that's the problem but the threshold, it's really hard. I am using a regular hammer. Would it work better with a nail gun? The nails I bought are small nails, about 3cm long. Larger nails and longer ones won't fit.

If we assume that the threshold is made of a "nailable" material, not steel or anything. Then a nail gun works better than using a hammer. But I would consider gluing, e.g. with PL400.
You can squeeze some glue into the drill hole on the threshold, even if it's small, the nail will definitely hold. Use whatever you have at home.celox said:
