Nail protection for 16mm flexible conduit
Hello, I'm in the process of installing network cables in the interior walls (45x70 studs and drywall).
From what I understand, electricians use some kind of metal nail plate when going through studs when they lay electrical conduit/tubing. I would like to have something like that too, so the network cable doesn't get damaged by a nail or screw in the future.
As I understand, the flex conduit is supposed to bend slightly to the side for a screw between the studs, but at the passage, the conduit is more fixed, and a nail/screw could damage the cabling.
I'm having a hard time finding any kind of "nail protection," what do electricians actually use?
Best regards,
Pagge

Hello and thanks for the reply!
Do you mean that you do that in your house, or do you mean electricians do it that way? Or do both coincide?
Even if it wouldn't be life-threatening to put a screw in the network cable, I want to do it as well as possible, and I thought that if I do it like the electricians, then it should be good.
I was thinking of using flex conduit, do electricians use it at all or is it only plastic pipes that apply? As for the electricity in our house, it's in metal pipes, that one could call nail-protected

I have heard in several places that there is some form of protection to put in front of VP pipes to prevent penetration by nails, but no one seems to know what kind of device it is... Is it something that exists and is used in reality?
