Nail gun?
Is a Basso B16/50L-A1 for about 1100kr a reasonable deal OR should I choose a Biltema variant OR a Senco from the UK?
Would be interesting to hear if anyone has experience with Basso's pistols...

There wasn't enough time to buy one before my birthday, so I got a postcard instead
But there's really no rush for the pistol itself, we're still waiting for the building permit documents from the house company.

Biltema or pretty much any type works, as far as I know.byggankan said:
What is important is that it's hot-dip galvanized nails, not electro-galvanized. Electro-galvanized (electroplated) has too thin a zinc layer, it can't withstand outdoor climates.
Byggmax 21° machine nails are good, and cheaper than Biltema's.
I've fired about 6000 Byggmax nails in dim 50, 65, 75, and 90. In the frame, in the sheathing, in the exterior panel, etc. No hassle so far.
However, if you read the BT website, you might wonder if the nails can handle the outdoors, very thin zinc coating there:
"Coated with at least a 50 micromillimeter thick zinc layer."

Well, 50 nanometers isn't much to write home about. Not so many years ago, processor manufacturers were proud of having achieved such narrow circuits on the chip.
