Nail gun for moldings?

Hello!

We have bought an apartment (house built in 1940). The previous owner had a mix of odd panel moldings throughout the apartment, and we have now removed all the odd ones to achieve uniformity moving forward. This means we need to install new moldings, and due to the gap between the wall and the parquet floor, these need to be baseboards and quarter rounds. It is a time-consuming job to install moldings, so I wonder:

Is it a good idea for a beginner to use a nail gun?
If yes, what type of nail gun?
Reasonable to rent, I assume?

There are both drywall and concrete walls

Advice or tips on places where I can get advice on how to do it the best way?

I recommend glue in a tube and a decent caulking gun, and possibly list screws where you know there is wood behind. Especially if you are unsure where the electrical wiring and water pipes go. I would rather opt for wider baseboards than adding an extra quarter round, but you have to expect to change the door trim then as well to make it look natural. Quarter rounds rarely look appealing and are quite annoying when vacuuming...

The walls are both gypsum and concrete.

I mostly glue when possible and appropriate. Otherwise, I use a Probuilder nail gun (around 500:- at Hornbach). It works great and the nails are barely visible. It is compressor-driven.
