I will nail out further on a part of the house to improve ventilation behind the panel, but can't find proper furring strips. The studs currently in place are 45x45, so I think I don't want it thicker than 45, and I don't want the strips to build more than necessary, so I think 22x45 would be an excellent size to use as furring strips.

Is it okay to use this as furring strips that I nail onto the existing 45x45s that are already in place as strips?

Byggmax doesn't seem to have any furring strips.. Maybe it's called something different there.

Does it work to use this as battens that I attach to the existing 45x45:surprised:r that are already in place as battens?

28x70, or 28x60 are often used.
Often called "glespanel", available in tongue-and-groove so you can easily splice.
