I have now found a rule where I drilled 2 holes, where I use the included wood screws without plugs. Then there will be 4 expansion screws in the other holes.

The screws I have are BÅREBO 140028 and 140027, the one for double plasterboard, which I believe this is, looks thinner while the one for single plasterboard is about as thick as those that come with the stand. From what I can measure, the thinner are 4mm and the thicker 5-6mm. Do I maybe need to buy others? They feel a bit flimsy? And how can I be sure if I have double plasterboard or not?

I tried to drive in a nail with a head and it says 16mm but plasterboard isn't usually 16mm in standard, I thought it was 12-13mm?

On the packaging for the expanders I have, it says for the thinner ones grip range 16-26mm and for the thicker ones 6-15mm, so I guess I should use the thinner ones then(5D)?

Okay, got everything in place BUT it's SO CROOKED!!! This is how it looks:

Wall mounting plate misaligned; visible spirit level showing an incorrect alignment, causing installation issues.
A yellow level with a bubble indicating an uneven surface against a white wall background.
Built-in level bubble showing unevenness against a dark surface, with an arrow indicating orientation.

Wonder if I can have more bad luck! The spirit level on the product was what I followed and of course, it would be completely off!! No idea what to do now, drilling new holes with molly screws and stuff will probably just worsen the wall's durability.

I'll contact the home cinema store and hope they can help me somehow.

Bad luck :(
You'll simply have to move the bracket down a couple of centimeters, then it should work anyway.

Easily fixed. When you hang up the TV, place a small spacer between the wall bracket and the TV mount. Like a zip tie or something similar. A shortcut indeed, but it prevents turning the wall into Swiss cheese.

Have you pulled the expander through the bracket or is it just a washer on the screw? First, you attach the expander to the wall, then you unscrew the screw, attach the bracket, and then screw it back in again. You can fix the slant by mounting the hanging rails a bit crooked on the back of the TV.

If you want the bracket to sit straight and don't want to drill new holes in the wall, you can instead drill new holes in the bracket.

After much deliberation, I chose to use other holes on the holder mounted to the wall, which allowed me to drill new holes 5-10 cm from the old ones. Unfortunately, I had to use 5E for the two middle screws as I didn’t have any more 6E, so in total, there are 2 wood screws in the stud, 2 5E in the middle, and 2 6E on the far right.

Everything is in place, and this time straight with the help of the Hultafors plumb line.

One could have drilled into the fixture, but it didn’t feel right; instead, I filled the holes with some filler.

It wasn’t possible to add spacers as the screws already took up the entire hole.
