Hang up TV on thin plaster+plywood
Hello!
We have a wall at home that is supposed to be a "reinforced TV wall," and upon closer inspection, it seems to be a thin 6 mm gypsum board with 7 mm plywood right behind it.
The previous owners used drywall anchors for their TV mount, and the question is if we should use them too? Or is it counterproductive? Is it enough with wood screws/mounting screws in the plywood for a TV that weighs 17 kg? Or should we use metal expanders since the total thickness is 13 mm (like a single gypsum board)?
With the wall mount we have (Samsung no gap wall mount, 2-part), I don't think we'll manage to hit a stud.
Here is a picture of the hole through the wall (where they put a drywall anchor) previously.
Thanks in advance!!

17 kg... Four of these https://www.biltema.se/bygg/fastelement/skivskruvar/gips--och-traskruv-48-x-35-mm-2000047377
Should hold even in something this thin if you don't drill too large. (Biltema's screw is phenomenal at staying in place in drywall if anyone is wondering)
Otherwise, I would have used a metal expander.
I'm a bit spoiled since we built a house... All walls are reinforced.

There are no studs. It's a concrete wall behind, a little gap, and then plywood + plasterboard. There are studs and concrete on the sides though.F fribygg said:
Ply + plasterboard is 20mm.
