Mount wood on Lecawall in a Horsebox
Hello
I’m in the process of fixing up a stable. There is a foundation in Leca blocks that is plastered. Now a wooden surface layer (28mm floor) needs to be mounted on these walls partly to minimize any potential damage from horse kicks and partly to have the ability to "easily" repair damage.
But the question is how I should attach the floorboards to the walls. I don't want the construction to be too much; I feel that a total of 40-45 (including floorboard) is reasonable.
One idea I have is to glue up tp 90x14 vertically on the wall and then attach the boards in the usual way with screws, letting them go through the 14mm boards. Or are there any other good alternatives?

If I wanted a box that's easy to clean, I would have screwed plywood onto the walls; if I wanted it to be durable, I would probably choose unsanded 2-inch planks.M martin.johansson.sjobo said:
Go ahead with your plan, I would use ströläkt or gles behind the new wall and fasten it with lättbetongskruv as someone else mentioned. Pre-drill the läkten, it holds very well.

I was considering gluing the battens as well. But maybe it's not necessary...B BäverBerra said:
