Mount mirror cabinet in Fibo panels
Hello!
I bought a house a few years ago where the bathroom has 2 walls covered with what I've figured out are Fibo panels, floor to ceiling. The previous owners sold the house before the bathroom was completely finished, and have never had a mirror cabinet mounted (there is some preparation such as electrical wiring above). We now want to address this. The problem is that I have no idea what is behind the Fibo panel, the previous owners also didn't take photos and don't remember. What I can see at the bathroom door opening is that there is gypsum board behind it.
Does anyone know if it's possible to mount a 10kg mirror cabinet directly on this panel, or do I need to figure out where the studs are and adjust accordingly? The Fibo panel itself reminds me a bit of plywood in cross-section, about 10mm thick.

There should be plywood behind or the panels should be mounted directly on the studs, not drywall.
It is fine to screw a mirror cabinet directly into the board. The board is constructed with 10mm plywood and definitely supports a mirror cabinet.

A lot of "shoulds" in this house unfortunatelymaah said:
That's roughly how I reasoned as well - should be possible to mount a bathroom cabinet without major issues, but I wasn't familiar with Fibo earlier, so better to check with the forum.
