I have a 40l pressure expansion tank that needs to be mounted on the wall in the boiler room. Is it possible to attach the bracket directly to the plaster (double plaster) without it breaking? It will probably weigh a little over 40kg.

It should work with the right plug.

I would have taken a piece of plywood or OSB, 620*300mm, painted white (or in the correct wall color) and screwed it into the studs. Then mounted the vessel with regular screws onto the board.
A more secure installation that can definitely handle people stumbling or yanking on the vessel or similar Murphy scenario :)

That will probably be something like that. Hope I find the studs. :)

You might be able to lift the molding? Or measure from the wall.
If you tap with the handle of a PH2 screwdriver, it usually sounds quite clear with ;)

It is not possible to access the upper rail, only one (the lower) rail. What should I do then? I will put in a board that is 145mm x 21mm and 55cm long.

As long as at least half of the fästpunkterna are on a regel, I see no problems with it.
