Hi, I'm thinking of building a mirror panel, but after googling around and watching YouTube, I see moldings I've never even seen in the hardware store. Does anyone know about these moldings? I'm mainly referring to those in the mirror itself. Does anyone know if you can find these at any of the larger established hardware stores? Is the lower image a cornice molding or is it some type of custom molding?

It could very well be that the person who built according to the lower picture has routed the profile on the molding themselves with a router. It is quite simple with the right router bit.

yes, that could be true!

I can recommend ABI trä in Göteborg, they have many older molding types in their assortment and can deliver by post.

Did you find any moldings? Have you finished the panel? I'm also considering building a panel and thought the second image you showed was nice, but how do you do it?
