Hello everyone!

I am in the process of building a sturdier greenhouse with the option to become a more robust building if needed in the future. As of today, I have gotten as far as building up with leca as the foundation or retaining wall, or whatever the heck it is supposed to be called. The idea is to erect walls with 45x95 studs on top of the leca.

Now to the question, does it make a significant difference if I apply a layer of mortar to fill in the groove/grooves in the leca before laying a sill paper/cell foam sill? As an amateur builder, I think a bit of mortar would help the sill paper sit better, but I also see the problem that it would likely need to be done with fairly decent precision, i.e., getting it smooth.

Grateful for answers!

It is common to turn the top lecan with the smooth side up.

Put mortar in the grooves and scrape off with the trowel, it will automatically be good.

It works perfectly to level with a bit of mortar. You have nice edges to guide against so that it becomes sufficiently even.

The bruket usually cracks when you nail the syllen.
