Currently building a small wine/earth cellar, about 8 square meters, 2 meters in height. Built with leka blocks. As it stands now, it is about 70cm below ground level and will then be covered with soil so that it will become like a mound over everything. I've heard different suggestions on what to use for moisture insulation of the exterior walls. Applying cold bitumen in two layers on the exterior walls is one suggestion... I wonder now if that is enough to prevent moisture. It seems to be the easiest and perhaps the cheapest option. Does anyone have a good suggestion for this???
Thanks for all the ideas.
