Mix peat, flax wool insulation and wood fiber
I have an attic floor currently insulated with about 200mm of peat. I've leftover some flax wool insulation from another project and plan to add 100mm of this. It might not be enough, so I'm considering buying some square meters of wood fiber insulation.
From the inside out, it will look like this:
New convection-tight windproofing
Existing Double-ridge boards with paper in between
Existing 200mm peat
Existing (I might be able to remove this and then top up the peat that has probably settled a bit)
New 100mm flax wool or wood fiber.
New ridge boards
The question is:
Is there any reason not to mix these materials?

Hmm, okay a good reason to keep the råspont that is on the turf today. On the other hand, I risk getting an air gap between the types of insulation, which might not be so successful. I saw a typo in my list - here's how it looks:
New convection-tight wind barrier
Existing Double råspont with felt in between
Existing 200mm turf
Existing råspont (possibly I could manage to remove this and then top up the turf which has likely settled quite a bit)
New 100mm flax wool or wood fiber.
