I'm putting up moldings but for some strange reason, I get a gap at the bottom when I put them around corners.

I've tried placing a block between the fence and the molding when I saw, but it doesn't help.

Does anyone have any tips?

Gap at the base of a corner where two wall baseboards meet, illustrating an issue with alignment despite attempts to adjust. Baseboard corner installation with a visible gap at the bottom on a light wood floor.

You should have the wall-side of the molding against the saw when you cut. Did you do the opposite?

The wall corner might be leaning, shave off a bit from the lower inside of the moldings at the corner to get the lower edge closer to the wall at the miter, if you understand :)

Yes, have the wall side against the saw.

Looks like the painter (me) will have to solve it later

Hm, it looks pretty straight, but good tip! Thanks!
