Milling electrical cable channels in wooden wall

Tips on a good quality tool for this purpose are greatly appreciated.

But the question is whether it's a smart idea - how thick are the boards. If you rout through the boards, the effect will be the same as if you sawed them off.

The boards are 4.5 cm thick.
Thinking of routing 16 wide 20 deep for flex cable.

Then it should be calm, and it's a handöverfräs that applies.

I used an electric chainsaw, put a stop on the bar with a clamp and a wooden block so I wouldn't go too deep.

You might also be able to use a milling cutter in the drill. I believe there are milling bits.
