What does the wall construction look like in older mexitegel houses, particularly concerning the basement level, does anyone know? I've been helping a friend replace windows on the upper floor and the idea is to replace them in the basement. I took a look at it and noticed that the reveal was significantly wider than on the upper floor. Additionally, there seems to be some kind of board material, possibly masonite? instead of pine. There is also no casing around the window but a 30x30 corner strip.
