Hello!

I'm helping my neighbor with his fiber cable. We concluded that he needs to run it along the facade a bit to get it in at the right place. It will go horizontally a bit up under a metal edge.

This is a fiber cable of the kind that is blown through 25mm PEM pipes and is designed to survive quite a few years underground where there might be water, but it still feels like one would want some sort of mechanical protection, preferably one that is a conduit so that you can achieve the proper bend radius.

Regular flex conduits don't fare too well with UV light in the long run if I understand correctly. What other options are there that are relatively easy to get hold of?

PEM hose in suitable diameter that you attach with screw clamps for cable protection in sheet metal perhaps?

Protect with a wooden strip. But under the metal edge, it is protected by itself.

Protte
