Hi,
Syllbytesproffsen have replaced the sills, joists, and everything in between in each house and down towards the crawl space, there is now a layer of cellular plastic (about 10cm) (in the spaces between the joists, rock wool, and then chipboard upwards).
Now we are going to put the dehumidifier back and are considering a suitable board to place on the cellular plastic directly above around the dehumidifier to reduce the risk of fire if it were to spark. The dehumidifier is connected to a residual-current device, and hopefully, nothing happens, but it would feel safer.
However, there isn't much space there, and we would prefer to use something that isn't too heavy to make it easier to attach (screwed into the joists). Does anyone have a suggestion?
Do you think a grill mat could work 🙈?

  • Red dehumidifier with ducting in a crawl space, surrounded by plastic sheeting and insulation.
I would probably recommend mineritskiva.
