Hello,

Renovating the kitchen and would like to know which board I should put up to even out the wall according to the image below. So, I need 1 type of board to place between the wall cabinets and the concrete wall and a type of board (maybe the same?) to place between the base cabinets and the lightweight concrete wall. (Both board questions marked in green on the image.

There will be drilling and screwing through both boards, so you don't want a material that's too porous?

Plasterboard? (-porous)
Chipboard (-absorbent)

Thanks in advance! :-?

Why not polish the wall?

Hello,

It feels like an unnecessarily advanced task when it's just going to be covered by cabinets. It should go really quickly to put up a few boards of the right size. In total, it's about 4 m2 that needs to be covered.

Are you going to tile all visible walls?

The wall that will be visible should be tiled.. possibly about 5 cm of the lower part of the upper panels will be tiled, the rest is now mosaic where tiles were previously placed.
