Hello
Can anyone answer what materials can be used behind a stove? I want something that doesn't emit when it gets hot. What's safe from that perspective? I probably need to paint there, so what wall paint should be used that doesn't emit heat? It gets warm after a few hours of burning, but it is at the recommended distance.

How warm?

Will place a sheet behind but for the next problem, the opening to the room will come close to the stove, and is there any filler that withstands heat so we can fill the opening, or is there another solution for what to do with the opening to the other room? Want to avoid moldings, etc.

Minerit withstands heat well. We have it on the wall, with wallpaper on, on one side of our fireplace.

We used fireproof wall boards 50 mm (calcium silicate) to make the walls behind and on the sides of the stove non-combustible. They can be hard to find for a reasonable price, but the cheapest we found was at Eldabutiken (1500kr each).

We will tile directly onto the fireproof boards. From what I've gathered, you can use regular tile glue/mortar.

  • A black stove with a chimney, surrounded by 50 mm calcium silicate fire-resistant panels, installed in a corner with wooden paneling.

Lecasten is simple and cheap. Regular red brick in whole brick is better but harder and more expensive to obtain and lay.
