Nothing is impossible. If you look at how kayaks are built, you might get a pretty good idea of how you can do it.

You could make the tight radiuses in a solid material and then shape them. Mattias wandel often does something similar.

So don't give up, but it's not exactly easy.

If you want to rethink, you might be able to stitch together thin plywood with zipties (homade modern has made a chair that way, among other things).
 
Now the thread is a bit old, but there is bendable plywood, i.e., plywood where it is not cross-laminated but where all veneer layers lie in the same direction. Less strength but can still work for this application.

Yes, old thread now. Wondering if the original poster has made any progress?

Tig-weld (or blind rivet) a nice box in aluminum diamond plate. And then a nice wooden frame in mahogany with way too many layers of varnish.
