Hello! I'm considering having natural stone sinks in the bathroom when we eventually start building our house. I've seen that it's not super expensive to buy these, but I think the more you can do yourself, the more fun it is. Putting your own stamp on things.

To the question, what do I need to mill the stone to begin with? What do I need to polish the bowl, do you need any surface treatment in the bowl etc.?

Very grateful for answers if someone has done something similar. :)

Regards

Here are some tips.

Well, sounds like an awesome fun project!
Anyone here who has done it and can show a picture?

What do you think could be used to achieve that final sanding/polishing that he doesn't quite nail in the clips?

Wet sanding in seven different steps was what the hand sanders used when I worked with stone countertops. I did not personally work with hand sanding or polishing.
