I'm moving into my house that I bought soon. I want a wall with a door in the living room on the upper floor. I've watched some on YouTube and maybe I could manage to do it myself. But what is the price range if you hire a carpenter? The wall itself is maybe 5 meters.
Is it something you can do yourself or is it too difficult for a beginner?

You can absolutely do it yourself! I did something similar a couple of years ago when I was a "beginner."M Förstagångsköparen said:I'm soon moving into my house that I've bought. It's not that difficult to do it yourself, but expect it to take time. Things that look so easy in YouTube videos take considerably longer for us ordinary people if it's going to turn out well. And be precise when measuring and sawing. If it's an old house that's a bit crooked by a few centimeters here and there, it'll take even more time to measure and reconsider. What it would cost, I have no idea, I do everything except the electricity myself and have a lot of unfinished projects going on and suffer from stress symptoms.
Haha why don't you finish one thing at a time then?T Trrttsch said:It's not so difficult to do yourself but expect it to take time. Yes, that's true. It's not a big problem for me, but I just wanted to highlight a not entirely uncommon issue that can arise when you have a house. But don't be too afraid of it. If you feel you have the time, it's great fun to build and fix things in the house.M Förstagångsköparen said:
