Hello!

I need to cut a wooden beam that is about 25 cm high and about 20 cm wide. What is the best machine to cut it? Chainsaw, reciprocating saw, any other suggestions?

Grateful for your response!

Best regards,
Robert

Handsaw if there aren't an unreasonable number of cuts to be made.

Hand saw gives the neatest result, chainsaw the fastest. Reciprocating saw in between.

Circular saw from all sides, then take the middle with a hand saw.

Bandsaw which requires that the beam is not mounted.

A handsaw or a bow saw also works if there aren't that many cuts. Even with a handsaw with coarse teeth, it gets tedious after a few cuts, but a bow saw can be used quite a few times before it becomes unsustainable.

Depending on appearance requirements, but I would go with chainsaw. If it's indoors, it will be the electric chainsaw.
