Hi, getting a bit tired. Bought base panel 21x145 at Byggmax for my garage. For the house, I bought from a local building supply store. Now I am missing about 80m and Byggmax hasn't had it in stock for over 4 weeks. Not even customer service answers my questions about delivery time, they even said it was in stock when it wasn't. I've emailed customer service, more than 48 hours have passed and no response. I've called before, but the answer is they have received it, but they only see the order balance. Been checking probably twice a week. The worst part is that even though the width dimensions match, in reality, it's different at others who sell this type. Anyone heard about a timber shortage? According to someone I talked to at BM, they claimed it. Seems like many Byggmax in the country have problems with this dimension?

Unfortunately, I can't provide any useful info.

But I had a problem with a piece of furniture we bought at Jysk many years ago, there were incorrect hole placements on some boards. After over 2 months of me nagging that I wanted a delivery date for the supplementary delivery, the customer service representative finally said: We don't provide delivery notices because customers get so upset when it takes a long time...

That same day, I came with a trailer, dumped the furniture in the backyard, and got my money back without too much protest.

I get roughly the same competence vibes when I hear about Byggmax customer service.

Actually drove 35 km north to Härnösand and there they were supposed to have 265m(!) according to the website. When I got there it was mostly scraps but managed to gather enough for my needs and got 30% off due to a lot of waste. Thanks Byggmax!

Lumber shortage my ass. However, it is always very slow to get lumber from the sawmills in July. Holidays and summer workers, you know. Serious retailers probably still manage to keep the standard dimensions in stock during the summer months. Byggmax is not a serious retailer, choose someone else.

Edit: saw that it resolved already.

Almost all sawmills I work with perform maintenance during a period in July. Therefore, the dryers are not operating.
Byggmax and other building supply stores should be aware that the industry is closed, and people on vacation need lumber and therefore purchase extra.

As mentioned, I searched for this before heading to Härnösand. It has many names: Z-panel, Bas panel, Mälarpanel, etc., but despite the dimension 21x145, the width of the flat area didn't match, so it would look strange to replace it.

However, this particular dimension seems to have a problem, as you can see if you check the BM website; almost no one has it in stock. Only a few are specified.

Byggmax customer service is the worst, I shopped with them for the first time a few weeks ago, a pretty hefty order of about 50k. Ordered a bunch of reinforced hinges that cost 3kr each more than the non-reinforced ones but still received the cheap ones even though I paid for the more expensive ones. Called customer service and they asked me to go to the store the items came from if I want to make a complaint. They sell online but for all complaints/warranties, you have to personally go to the store. I seem to remember this is against the distance selling regulations when you shop online?

One thing is for sure, I won't be shopping from Byggmax online again.
