Lumber and others around Västervik. Any gems?
I have acquired a summer place with renovation needs just outside Västervik. Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone has tips on good suppliers of timber and other materials nearby. I've found Woody (Materialmännen) and paid around 12 kronor per meter for rough boards, and Beijer Bygg is also nearby. Sure, I can search on Hitta, but it feels like I'll hit many misses before finding those gems. So, if anyone has tips on suppliers with a good selection and reasonable prices, I'm all ears.

You have Cheapy in Västervik.
Well, in a way. But after a visit to Cheapy in Västervik (scouting for råspont), I decided not to shop there that time. Really poor timber quality with råspont that was broken, warped, had a lot of sapwood and bark, and was full of knot holes. I will probably check in from time to time to see if it was a one-time occurrence.

Look around the area and ask if you can buy lumber at a sawmill. I did this where I have my summer cottage, but it's 50 kilometers from Västervik.
Initially, I wasn't allowed to pick it myself, so I called and ordered what I needed. The lumber was gathered and ready to pick up when arriving on Friday evening, and the invoice was in the mailbox after the summer season for everything purchased.
Isn't there a sawmill right after you turn off at R33 towards Vimmerby on the left side?

I don't shop much at Woody/Beijers, but I compared a purchase with Byggmax, which is a discount store, and it was 10-15% cheaper. So with regular prices on the ones you mention, it might be 30-40% or maybe more on certain dimensions, but if you're good at bargaining and buying in larger quantities, the difference should be smaller. However, you should read up a bit on timber and dimensions before contacting a sawmill, as they are not a building supply store and expect you to know what you need.
