I am about to change the ceiling on the entry level. Today we have beveled tiles that are 300x600. We have fabric stretched in large parts of the rest of the house. The father-in-law suggested "fireproof" gypsum tiles 600x600. -Sounds ugly, I exclaimed spontaneously. -And what do you want then? he said. Well, something white...

The room is elongated and barely 12 m2, wood -but not beadboard, feels right. Fabric stretching is also out!

Has anyone found something exciting?

Why not go for a flat plaster ceiling? I'm not a painter, so I don't know how much work is involved, but I'm guessing you fill the joints and apply a thin layer of filler over everything. Primer *pssscht*, topcoat *wrooom*, DONE!

do you mean a regular visible interior ceiling?? If so, you can look at Huntonit... Super easy to screw up, available in different patterns....
beijerbygg and Cheapy have them, and probably many other building supply stores.

I put regular raw wood paneling in the basement ceiling...and painted it white....created a good feeling...not so "sterile"....:D...

I am currently installing 1200x2500 plasterboards in two rooms (total 22 sqm) and have just finished spackling and am about to paint... took 2 days with the help of my father-in-law and a plasterboard lift.

I personally like completely smooth white ceilings.

2 days to set up 22sqm and plaster??? Yes, it would have gone much faster with Hutonit...

A bit like comparing apples and oranges. The end result is not exactly the same...

Huntonit should be more comparable to gypsum plank.

Regardless of this, I join those who advocate for a completely smooth white ceiling. Personally, I don't see the ceiling as part of the decoration and want it as neutral as possible.
