Looking for thin metal rods

For a project, I would need metal braces. Approximate dimensions about 300x10x0.5 mm. In other words, similar to a hacksaw blade, but thinner. I need to drill holes in each end, one of which should be elongated so it can be screwed in with adjustable length.

I could go to a hardware store and just search, but if someone can suggest a suitable product, I would be grateful.

Perforated banding might be a good idea. Wondering if I need something a bit thicker than I initially thought, still need some stiffness. The load won't be significant, but it mustn't bend.
