I am going to replace a window in the attic to get better light influx. The outer wall consists of a standing plank frame ~75 mm thick with rendering of lime plaster. To accommodate the new window, the upper and lower "tie beam" must be moved. The upper needs to be moved up and the lower down. My question is: is it enough to move the beams or do additional measures need to be taken?
