Hello,

I'm new here :) Found an old section drawing that I'd like urgent help deciphering. The house has cast concrete floors, does this mean there are no load-bearing walls according to the drawing?

  • Cross-section drawing of a house showing two floors with concrete slabs and roof, questioning presence of load-bearing walls.
Where the section is drawn, there are no walls at all. I suppose the drawing doesn't match reality because there should be some wall at least on 3 floors. And the answer to the question: it is not possible to discern such things from a section drawing.

Hello,

Check this out, thinking more about what supports the upper floor for the living room itself (no walls have been removed)

  • Floor plan of a house showing the layout of the living room on the entrance floor and supporting structures for the upper floor.
Based on the floor plan and my estimate of the house's width, it is likely that the interior walls are load-bearing on the ground floor.
