Hello!

A long shot, but let's give it a try...

We're considering buying a single-storey terrace house built in 1972. We're not quite sure which interior walls are load-bearing or if any of them are at all. We want to remove the red-marked walls. I've marked roughly where the roof ridge is and how the roof then slopes with a blue pen. The roof is low-pitched with felt as the surface layer.

Could it be that the red wall running along the ridge is load-bearing? What goes against this is the lack of load-bearing walls in the opposite position on the other side of the house.

Is there any way to find this out during the viewing?

We don't have access to any blueprints and probably won't be able to get anything from the municipality before the bidding, but we thought we'd see if anyone could make a qualified assessment. It's a fairly common house type in our city, so maybe someone recognizes it.

At the very least, one must know what the trusses look like and their orientation in order to understand the situation with load-bearing walls.
