Hello.

I have bought a new house and now I'm planning to open up a wall between the kitchen and living room.
The man who inspected my house said that this wall was load-bearing, so I consulted a carpenter I know. He would help me to demolish the wall and make sure the structure retains its load-bearing capacity. This carpenter wanted me to check what the wall was made of, material, thickness, etc.

Yesterday, I opened up the wall and saw that it was framed with 45mm studs and had paneling on the outside.
The question is, can this wall really be load-bearing?

Best regards.

yes, it very well can be

So these weak studs can support the load-bearing capacity needed.

Suggestion for action if I remove studs to open up the wall.
The wall is 3.05 m and I will open up 2.10 m of it.
