Welcome to the forum!

I cannot answer that type of question, but those who usually do would like to know when the house was built and to see at least a floor plan, preferably also other drawings such as a section drawing.

Ok, here is a bit more info. The extension was made in the 2000s. It is the one on the left in the picture.

  • Blueprint showing a house extension (left) from the 2000s with various rooms labeled, including bedrooms and living areas.
  • Extension with red door and windows on the left, built in the 2000s, next to a courtyard with a grassy lawn and cloudy sky above.
One more image. The beam in the middle is 140x45 mm

  • Stud wall installation in living area, partially built with visible beams and open space. Beam in center measures 140x45 mm.
I can't imagine that any of the partitions in the extension are load-bearing.

If it were meant to be load-bearing, 45×145 sounds a bit flimsy.

Thank you for the quick responses. What you can see under the drywall is insulation that lies above boards which are placed 30cm apart. I wonder if these are nailed to the rafters or if they are loose and supported by the beam I want to remove. I am a new homeowner and maybe not using the correct terminology, so I hope you understand me :) Here are some more pictures.

  • Close-up of wooden beams and drywall in a ceiling corner, showing how beams are joined and aligned, with visible screws and handwriting on wood.
  • Wooden beam and plank structure beneath plasterboard ceiling, possibly connected to the joist or held by a beam. New homeowner seeking advice on removal.
  • Exposed insulation under drywall with wooden planks spaced 30cm apart, possibly supporting a beam; interior renovation context.
  • Close-up of wooden beams and drywall with visible gaps, possibly indicating insulation underneath.
  • Close-up of floorboards showing a removed section, revealing insulation and wooden planks underneath, questioning if beams are nailed or resting freely.
One more picture. This is how it looks above the beam.

  • Ceiling cavity above beam with visible wooden supports and insulation.

Yes, and as it is positioned, the load-bearing capacity is worse than the 45x70 that are there, as there is nothing preventing it from sagging in the flimsy dimension.
