If you have drawings, a start could be to upload them here, and maybe you'll get a good response.

Hello, here come the pictures. It's the wall between the kitchen and the living room.

  • Wooden ceiling and partial wall between kitchen and living room with two orange arrows pointing at spots on the wall.
  • Wall separating kitchen and living room with a microwave on a kitchen counter and a TV on a stand on the living room side.
  • Floor plan showing the wall between the kitchen and living room, highlighted with an orange arrow.
I don't think I have a sectional drawing but I can try to take a photo of the takstolatna. I'll upload the picture of the upper floor as well if it can help a bit.

  • Floor plan of an attic showing rooms labeled as "Allrum", "Sovrum 70", and a small room with "wc" and "dusch".
That wall is almost certainly load-bearing.

Why do you think so?

You have an upstairs; without the wall, it will sway noticeably when you walk up there.

1.5 stories for the first, with quite a large span, I think it's difficult with self-supporting trusses for that.

Then you have a wall that goes across the entire house along the middle. The separating partition at the dining area would also be load-bearing in that case.

Although it looks quite thin. How thick is it, and is it the same thickness on all other walls?
Is there a beam above the opening between the hall and the living room?
When was the house built?

It might be a good idea to contact the municipality and see if they have more drawings and building descriptions.

The wall is definitely load-bearing. The openings are supported with beams. This is shown by the dashed-dotted lines.

Hello, if I want to find out if the wall is load-bearing or not, who should I ask? How much can it cost? Living north of Stockholm
Hello, got another drawing

  • Blueprint showing a section of a building with a 38-degree roof angle and dimensions marked, including 2.30m and 2.40m.

But now I'm wondering if the wall I pointed at, if that's the one I'm thinking about. Isn't it the one between the kitchen and the bathroom? God, I feel like I need to get someone here

No, it is not that wall. However, the section drawing shows that the hjärtväggen, the longitudinal wall in the middle of the house, is load-bearing. The bottom plate has a reinforcement approximately in the middle to be able to take on larger loads.

Thank you so much!
