We have a small former barn made of timber at our cottage. We now want to furnish it for hobby activities. It has sturdy roof beams measuring 15x20 cm. Slightly affected, but the core is healthy. They are 4.60 long and fit 5 pieces with a center-to-center distance of 120 cm in width. It is supported against the roof/beams to partition the animal stalls, and I wonder if these supports have a function in terms of load-bearing or if we can remove them without risk. Grateful for knowledgeable opinions.

  • Interior of a log barn with visible ceiling beams and vertical wooden supports. The post queries the necessity of these supports for load-bearing.
