I'm considering building a double garage that will be attached to the existing house. I would like to have a large deck on top of the garage. The idea is for the garage's width to be 8 m (7.5 m inside), and I don't want any posts in the garage; I'm also concerned that the roof should not be too "thick." I'm looking for advice on dimensions and material choices for this flat roof. I live in Dalarna, so the snow load is, of course, a very relevant factor. Are there any tips to offer? Grateful for all thoughts!

My workshop's intermediate floor has glue-laminated timber 66 x 490 with CC 1100 mm, the same span as your garage, and is designed for 270 kg per m2. With a thickness of 95 mm, a lower building height can be achieved but I don't remember that calculation.
