Yes, that beam is quite a story in itself. :crysmile:

I bought two 10.1m IPE beams, 10 cm high. When they arrived, they were sagging like worms between the boxes they were supposed to stand on. I don't think the seller really knew... Anyway, I had to hire a welding company to weld both beams together and then box them in with 3 mm corten steel. Then we attached wooden beams with 30cm centers between the beam and the wall behind, as well as a lot of short beams. It became rigid enough, but sure, it wobbles a bit. On that section, dancing is forbidden. But we've probably had almost 15-20 people there at the same time. (y)

The rest of the deck can't be seen in the video, so dancing is allowed there.

In addition to all the great recommendations in this thread, credit must definitely be given to our eminent, creative, and patient carpenter Jörgen. He did EVERYTHING in his power to make it as great as it became and truly engaged, coached, all with a smile.

He saved me thousands of kronor just in therapy costs.
